I actually just listened to this podcast on my run this morning!! I love listening to your stories and how they connect too with my journey. However this tattoo had me stopped on the tread to look at it! I couldn’t believe how much it looked like a mountain range at first glance (which is also so fitting for you!) 🏔️ It’s beautiful!
Your being a great mom just wanting to let you know. :) Will be running the Catalina Island Half this Saturday with slight plantar fasciitis aches but planning on finishing and taking it easy if I super need to to not be focusing on “rain on my parade” lol.
I am sitting in my home office with writing deadlines and speaking obligations to sort so thank you for the reminder of finding the answers on the trails -- off I go!
Montana is beautiful. My wife’s cousin lives in Bozeman and her aunt lives in Big Sky. I attempted to run The Rut this past September and even with the DNF, no regrets. It was an amazing trip.
We vacation in the Bozeman/Big Sky area frequently. I've been a lot of places and that's still my favorite. This post makes me want to book a flight and go back now! It is truly an outdoor lover's paradise. So many things to do to support an active lifestyle. If you get a chance, go back and visit Yellowstone. Its breathtaking. Almost other-worldly! The winters are however, no joke. I've known people who have moved there from warmer climates, only to leave because they could not handle the winters. You better know how to ski or have a good treadmill!
If you do run trails in that area though, just be aware of the grizzlies. They are no joke either.
Prayers are with you for continued recovery. You have certainly been an inspiration as far as how you have handled it. God bless!
We met at Rockford and it was easily one of the best days of my year! It feels like it was meant to happen at this time in my life. I’ve learned so much from you and you inspire me daily. 💛💛
